If you were lucky enough to get into Costa Rica years ago, when property was cheap and plentiful, you’ve most likely been patting yourself on the back as property prices have boomed and you got a princely return on your investment. However, for the rest of us that weren’t able to take advantage of the beach homes for sale at that time, Costa Rica has become incredibly expensive….until now.

The southern coast of Costa Rica is just now becoming developed, with small airports being installed and more and more improvements in the highway system. In the southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica, you can find land that costs less than 1/12th of the price that you could expect to find in the more developed, tourist-friendly northern region of the country. However, these prices won’t last for long once the airports and highways are improved, so the time to act is now.

The southern coast of Costa Rica is also called the Costa Ballena, or the whale coast, for the humpback whales that you can spot every year from the coastline. Because most tourists don’t venture here, because its not easily accessible, the area is lush, green, and hardly developed at the moment

But, cheap land wouldn’t be anything if it wasn’t feasible to vacation there. Not only is Costa Rica home to one of the best coastlines in the world, it avoids many of the problems that have been plaguing other Latin American countries. It’s peaceful, with no standing army, welcoming to foreigners, and most importantly, politically stable. The country is bio-diverse, eco-friendly, and even only a short three hour plane flight from Miami.

If this sounds appealing to you, make sure to check out the Beachfront Property Guide, where you can get information on owning beachfront property around the world, from Costa Rica to the Philippines.
