One major attraction you will not want to miss while you are in Portland is the zoo. The Oregon Zoo has many different attractions along with endangered animals including penguins, elephants, and even polar bears. During certain times, the zoo also provides an amazing light show.

Another place that you might like is the Pittock Mansion. A famous Oregon pioneer owned the mansion back in the early 1900’s. It is beautifully furnished and offers tours for individuals or groups.

You may also want to visit the magnificent Forest Park. This park spans over thirty miles, and is home to over 60 different kinds of animals and over 100 different types of birds. This is a beautiful place to visit, even if you just want to walk around and enjoy nature.

The International Rose Test Garden is a hotspot for women. This garden features over 8,000 different rosebushes and is absolutely magnificent to walk through. You can tour this garden for free between the months of June to September when the roses are in full bloom.

For families, you might want to catch a shuttle to the Blue Lake Regional Park. This natural lake is over 64 acres, and provides ways to go boating, fishing and swimming. They have covered shelters and picnic areas for families to eat under and enjoy the scenery.

With so many things to do and see as soon as you land in Portland, an airport shuttle will be sure to get you there and still leave you with money left over to enjoy the rest of your vacation.
